Yedla Employee Spotlight: Kristy Anderson

Kristy joined Yedla as Sales & Service Coordinator shortly after college, while planning her wedding to her husband, Scott. Since then, she's raised three children, helped guide hotel openings, navigated technology transitions, and watched the company evolve through multiple stages of growth. "I've had all three of my children while working at Yedla. They've watched my kids grow up."
In many ways, Kristy's journey and Yedla's journey have happened side by side.
"It's not really a job anymore, it's part of my life."
One of the moments that shaped Kristy's career came early on during a property management system conversion. "I caught the hotel bug," she shared. "I loved the technology side of the business."
That curiosity, paired with a strong work ethic, caught the attention of founder Dr. Rao Yedla:
"He used to tell me, 'It doesn't matter where I put you. You're going to do well because you're going to work hard.'"

Today, Kristy continues to play a critical role in supporting all of Yedla's hotels including, systems implementation, accounting, and countless behind the-scenes details that keep properties running smoothly. When asked what makes Yedla successful, her answer was simple:
"We're deeply involved in the work. We're not sitting outside the properties, we're in the thick of it."
That hands-on approach has been a constant throughout her career, and one of the reasons she's remained such an important part of the Yedla team.

👩🏻🍳 From Kristy's Kitchen
For Kristy, one of those traditions is her grandmother's spaghetti and meatballs recipe.
It's a meal that's been shared around the family table for generations and remains one of the first dishes her children ask for when they come home.
"One of our family's traditions is gathering around my grandmother's spaghetti and meatballs recipe. It's still one of the first meals my children ask for."
Just as Yedla has been part of Kristy's story for nearly three decades, this recipe has remained a constant through family milestones, celebrations, and everyday moments together.
Some traditions never change.
